Job Summary

This position is an exciting opportunity to join the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration team as a General Radiologist with expertise in Body Imaging and Prostate MRI. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting general radiology examinations, performing and interpreting diagnostic fluoroscopic studies, and interpreting CT and MRI examinations, including prostate MRI scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret general radiology examinations, including plain film
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic fluoroscopic studies, with and without contrast material
  • Interpret CT examinations of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
  • Interpret MRI examinations of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, including prostate MRI scans
  • Interpret general, vascular, small parts, and soft tissue ultrasound examinations
  • Participate in the development of new protocols and imaging techniques
  • Communicate critical findings according to medical center policy
  • Participate in quality management activities, including film quality review and peer review
Requirements
  • United States citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited school
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
