Radiologist - Body Imaging & Musculoskeletal Specialist

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Radiologist to join our team at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System. As a Body Imaging & Musculoskeletal Radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting radiology studies, including CT, MRI, and US, and providing clinical oversight of medication administration. You will also participate in quality assurance programs, teaching programs, and clinical conferences. Responsibilities:
Interpret general radiology, body imaging, and musculoskeletal radiology studies
Review radiology requests for appropriateness and respond to consults timely
Prescribe exam protocols, review image quality, and provide feedback to technical staff
Obtain informed consent, coordinate clinical care, and communicate urgent findings timely
Participate in quality assurance programs, teaching programs, and clinical conferences
Requirements:
Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
Eligibility for medical licensure in any US state
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $300,000 - $350,000 per year

Work Schedule:
This is an on-site position, and radiologists may be expected to travel between Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens VA campuses daily. The position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (one to five years) will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
