Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Body Imaging and Musculoskeletal Radiologist to join our diagnostic radiology department at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for interpreting general radiology, body imaging, and musculoskeletal radiology studies, as well as providing clinical oversight and education to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret radiology studies, including CT, MRI, and US, to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Review radiology requests for appropriateness and respond to consults in a timely manner.
  • Provide clinical oversight of medication administration, including contrast material and other medications relevant to diagnostic radiology.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, such as peer review and performance improvement.
  • Participate in teaching programs and clinical conferences, including tumor boards.
Requirements
  • United States citizenship or non-citizenship with VA approval.
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Board certification or eligibility in the specialty/sub-specialty indicated in the announcement.
