At New York Imaging, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care through cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technologies. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely results that drive better outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radioactive chemical compounds to patients.
  • Perform imaging procedures using advanced radiation-detecting instrumentation.
  • Accomplish computer processing and image enhancement to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to provide patient information and data analysis for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and reactions during scans, reporting any abnormal signs to physicians.
  • Perform complex PET exams, consulting with radiologists for appropriate scan procedures.
  • Gain patients' trust by obtaining pertinent history, describing procedures, and addressing questions.
  • Monitor patients' physical condition during procedures.
  • Document patient comments that may indicate the need for additional images or be useful to physicians in interpreting results.
  • Ensure safety measures are in place to protect patients and operators from radiation exposure.
Requirements:
  • Diploma from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N) certification.
  • NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT) certification.
  • New York State License.
  • At least 2 years' experience in diagnostic imaging.
