Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital's supply chain functions. This position requires a high level of customer service skills to meet the needs of internal customers, ensuring timely care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides cross-functional support to various areas of supply chain operations, including case cart picking, nursing unit support, and distribution of O&M trucks.
  • Responds to internal customer requests in a friendly and helpful manner, prioritizing their needs to ensure efficient service.
  • Processes outgoing mail using the postage meter, distributing it to the appropriate recipients.
  • Performs receiving functions using a handheld device, inspecting packages for damage and verifying shipment accuracy.
  • Enters receipts into the system, prints delivery tickets, and stages packages for delivery to the relevant department or individual.
  • Assists in receiving, sorting, and distributing evening distributor trucks to perioperative departments.
  • Breaks down pallets for OR, PACU, Pre-Op, Endo, and SPD departments.
  • Delivers sterile products to the appropriate departments.
  • Enters purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Participates in continuing education programs and attends hospital-sponsored training sessions as required by the department.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior work experience is not necessary.
