Key Responsibilities- Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain crimping machines and other equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
- Specialized Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery, including crimp tools and machine tools.
- Wiring and Electrical Components: Assemble, install, and repair wiring and electrical components on machinery and equipment.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in an electro-mechanical discipline preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of machine maintenance experience.
- Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical skills and aptitude; ability to read and interpret blueprints and data; ability to troubleshoot electronics and associated controls.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including standing, sitting, bending, reaching, walking, and stretching; ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Aptiv is an industrial manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in this environment and adhere to company policies and procedures.
