About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Lewis Tree Service. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our mobile equipment, ensuring that our vehicles are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Furnish own hand tools as directed by the Company
  • Provide quality and timely workmanship on each work order performed
  • Use impact wrenches to drill, bolt various components onto mobile hydraulic equipment
  • Use small and large manual hand tools to bolt and assemble various components onto mobile equipment
  • Maintain daily time records on each job assigned
  • Perform re-work as required
  • Perform DOT inspections
  • Must be able to obtain medical card
  • Follows all established safety policies and practices

Requirements:

  • Must have ability to completely mount, assemble and performance check all products as directed by Supervisor
  • Must have ability to weld and flame-cut as required
  • Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and written instructions
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Welding, mechanical knowledge; ability to read tape measure and blueprints
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.; push 50-100 lbs.; and carry 25-50lbs.
  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Cummins Insite Certification or Insite Training
  • Knowledge of hydraulic trouble shooting and schematic reading
  • Knowledge of electrical trouble shooting and schematic reading
  • Knowledge of Wabco Brake Systems and Air Brake Systems
  • Valid driver's license
