Key Responsibilities
As a member of the WRC team, you will play an essential role in our mission by providing vital culinary support to individuals at our facility. Your primary duties will include:
- Preparing, modifying, portioning, labeling, serving, delivering, and collecting food and supplies.
- Setting up and dismantling work and service areas, performing various roles, and completing specific tasks assigned for each position.
- Upholding safety and sanitation standards through proper food handling practices.
- Operating a range of commercial culinary equipment, including dish machines, food processors, steam tables, and various cooking appliances.
- Completing daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks, including trash disposal, dishwashing, and general sanitation.
- Training and supervising assigned personnel, including co-workers and individuals residing at WRC.
Essential Competencies

- Understanding of food preparation and service methods, including food sanitation principles.
- Awareness of health risks in food service and necessary precautionary measures.
- Ability to perform a variety of manual culinary tasks.
- Exhibit high standards of ethical conduct, honesty, and integrity.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients to meet their needs in a courteous manner.
- Commitment to quality service, demonstrating initiative and dedication to completing tasks efficiently.
- Work independently with responsible behavior and attention to detail.
