Executive Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Hotel Zelos in San Francisco, California. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage kitchen operations, including menu development, inventory control, and labor management.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, provide coaching and training, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment that meets or exceeds federal, state, and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with the Area Director of Food & Beverage to develop and implement menus, promotions, and marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
