  • Hands-on experience in applying cybersecurity principles to vulnerability research, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Expertise in advising on a range of security issues based on research and informed opinions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and their practical applications.
  • Proficiency in common AI/ML software tools (e.g., Numpy, Pytorch, Tensorflow, ART).
  • Knowledge of reverse engineering tools (e.g., NSA Ghidra, IDA Pro).
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or low-level programming.
  • Background in developing frameworks or methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness and robustness of technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information to non-experts.
  • A passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge within the community.
  • A degree in machine learning, cybersecurity, statistics, or a related field, with significant professional experience.
  • Encouragement for applicants with strong technical backgrounds in either AI/ML or cybersecurity to apply, provided they have a willingness to learn quickly.
Additional Information:
Travel may be required to support the SEI's mission, including participation in conferences and meetings. Candidates will undergo a background check and must obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
