New Mexico Junior College Human Resources seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Chief Student Development Officer. This individual will provide strategic vision, executive leadership, and direction for the Student Affairs Division, ensuring the needs of all students are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and academic development for all students. A Master's degree in student development, student personnel, higher education, educational leadership, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible post-secondary institutional experience.

The Chief Student Development Officer reports to the President and serves on the Executive Cabinet, working collaboratively with other VPs, the Provost, and Directors of Athletics and Campus Safety.

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Student Affairs, prepare for regional accreditor visits, and lead Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.
  • Collaborate in expansion and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, and provide leadership for the administration of the Student Handbook.
  • Oversight of budgets, student extra-curricular activities, and international student eligibility, programs, and services.
  • Skill in planning and administration, fiscal management, and ability to work with diverse students, staff, faculty, and college constituents.
