About the Role

The GEO Group is seeking a skilled Corrections Training Officer to lead our training initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that meet the needs of our staff and clients.

You will work closely with management to design and deliver training courses, and ensure that all employees receive regular training and professional development opportunities.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement training programs for staff, including classroom and on-the-job training
  2. Work with management to design and deliver training courses
  3. Coordinate and instruct training sessions, ensuring that all employees receive regular training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required; bachelor's degree in training, organizational development, communication, or related field highly desired
  • Five years of progressive work experience in corrections or law enforcement, including one year of correctional facility experience
  • Certification as a training instructor from a national or state recognized organization
