Job Summary

The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to join our team in Stanford. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our highway system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of equipment, including trucks, to perform regular maintenance activities such as ditch cleaning, patching, and material transportation.
  • Load and apply sanding material and perform snow removal and sanding operations during winter months.
  • Perform preoperational checks, scheduled servicing, and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Responsible for the overall functional operation of machines, including adding fluids, changing pins, and cutting edges.
  • Perform related work as required to support the maintenance of our highway system.
