Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Assistant to join our team at The Building People. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to our federal clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and edit documents for project management and technical staff.
  • Manage records and correspondence, including executive correspondence, tracking, formatting, receipt, review, editing, document assembly, delivery, archiving, and disposition of documents and records.
  • Generate monthly Progress Summary Reports for review by the off-site Project Manager and DHS Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year experience providing correspondence management support with skills including written correspondence, general office skills, and front office operations with Microsoft Office Suite 2016 and Internet Explorer.
  • Utilize SharePoint to assist with tracking, reporting, and logistical support for workflow and processes.
  • Handle administrative business, planning, organization, and controlling the clerical aspect of the office including the preparation, communication, coordination, and storage of information/data while maintaining a process of work inside the office within the organization.
  • Act as a liaison with Information Technology (IT) Support to ensure that staff have appropriate IT equipment.
  • Assist with the accountability of IT assets.
  • Ability to pass a DHS "suitability" background investigation is a requirement.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Draft VIP Tour Procedures Kit for Program Manager's review.
  • Manage VIP Tours and assist with Visitor Access Requests (VAR).
  • Arrange local travel (sedans/government vehicles).
  • Schedule and attend on/offsite Leadership and Team Meetings (includes drafting minutes for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings).
  • Manage and maintain executive and other leadership calendars.
  • Assist in maintaining office supplies/property for immediate staff.
  • Support Human Resource (HR) actions.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
