Clinical Nurse Educator Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, and competency assessment.
  • Collaborate with nursing leaders and staff to identify learning needs and develop targeted educational initiatives.
  • Support an environment that promotes evidence-based nursing practice, using research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice to guide decision-making.
  • Manage the onboarding and orientation of new employees and students, ensuring a smooth transition to the clinical environment.
  • Participate in research activities, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Consult and mentor staff on program development, clinical practice, and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Three (3) years of nursing experience
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Educator experience preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The Clinical Nurse Educator will work in a stressful environment and must be able to take appropriate action.

Shift:

This is a primarily office-based role, not eligible for shift differential.
