Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering education programs for our clinical staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education programs for clinical staff, including orientation, continuing education, and competency assessment.
  • Collaborate with nursing leaders and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
  • Support an environment that promotes evidence-based nursing practice, based on nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
  • May perform clinical patient care when needed.
  • Manage the onboarding and orientation of all new employees and students on assigned units.
  • Participate in research activities, quality improvement, or evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Plan, update, and evaluate clinical competencies to assess quality of patient care delivered and ensure regulatory compliance on assigned units.
  • Serve as a consultant/mentor/change agent for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate
  • Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
Work Environment

This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional clinical patient care responsibilities.
