Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Intake Specialist to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong assessment and treatment planning skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments with clients, including baseline drug screens, brief interventions, and development of individual treatment plans according to ASAM placement level.
  • Refer clients to appropriate services, such as medical, substance abuse, detox, emergency food and shelter, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, entitlement programs, and other company and community programs, as needed.
  • Provide individual and group counseling/therapy, as assigned, to support clients in achieving their goals and improving their overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in electronic data systems for each client and collateral contact, ensuring timely completion of notes within 24 hours of encounter.
  • Participate in supervision, staff meetings, training activities, and case conferences to ensure high-quality care and stay current with best practices in the field.
Requirements
  • Must possess current licensure in The District of Columbia for LGSW or CAC, with LICSW, LPC, or LFMT preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of behavioral health experience, with ability to assess for co-occurring disorders, is required.
  • HIV/AIDS experience is desired, and proficiency with data entry in electronic data systems is essential.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
