About the Role

This leading organization known for its innovation, expertise, and employee care is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while assisting with the provision of basic patient care and recovery needs.

Prominent Responsibilities
  • You will support the unit through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance.
  • You will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes.
  • You will perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
  • You will assist with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate emotional and physical support.
  • You will provide and document interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field required; Two (2) years of inpatient Behavioral Health experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must obtain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor registration within 60 days of hire unless a higher credential is held.
  • Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date.
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification Peer MHT: Self-identify as a consumer who has received mental health services and can demonstrate that they have been well grounded in their own mental health recovery for at least one year.
  • Must be eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor.
  • Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care experience preferred.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.92 - $33.67 USD per hour based on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $48,000 - $70,000 based on a 40-hour workweek and 52 weeks per year. Please note that pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
