The HVAC Service Sales Representative plays a vital role in the growth and profitability of our HVAC Service division. The selected candidate will be tasked with initiating, establishing, and nurturing profitable service relationships with new clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Focusing on selling renewable maintenance agreements as a foundational element for building these relationships.
  • Operating within a designated geographic area, collaborating with local branch teams and sales and operations professionals.
  • Utilizing sales tools to strategize and document sales progress while identifying business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Employing a structured and professional approach to identify, target, and qualify potential new clients; leveraging market conditions and networking effectively to discover new leads.
  • Building a referral network to uncover new customer opportunities.
  • Conducting sales meetings aimed at identifying key issues and challenges faced by Facility Directors in managing heating, cooling, ventilation, and control systems.

Proposing tailored solutions to meet prospective customers' needs through innovative applications of local branch service capabilities, with a strong emphasis on selling renewable maintenance agreements and promoting digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization.

Understanding the client's business and communicating effectively is essential. Responsibilities also include:

  • Facilitating customer kick-off meetings, addressing customer concerns, creating follow-up opportunities, maintaining and extending service agreements, and supporting the collections process.
  • Keeping management updated on progress and account status using Johnson Controls Salesforce.
  • Recognizing when to seek assistance from management to ensure the sales process remains on track.
  • Developing and executing territory marketing plans that align with the Johnson Controls Building Solutions business strategy.

Representing Johnson Controls with professionalism by conducting business according to the highest standards of quality, integrity, and performance.

Qualifications include:

  • 2-3 years of progressive sales experience
  • Experience in selling services and intangible products
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines
  • Knowledge of Building HVAC Systems
  • Experience with Salesforce
