Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support (10%)
    • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
    • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
    • Answer and direct calls, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and staff.
    • Process pre-authorizations and pre-certifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and file medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
    • Provide cross-coverage for other administrative roles, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
    • Maintain clinical files according to organization/department protocol, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Process patient-related correspondence, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient information, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Clinical Support (90%)
    • Ensure efficient patient flow, streamlining processes to minimize wait times and maximize productivity.
    • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient examinations, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
    • Provide procedural support, following department-specific guidelines and protocols.
    • Perform initial intake of patient, including interviews, vital signs, and allergy information, accurately recording and updating relevant patient data.
    • Perform daily Quality Controls (QC) for all Point of Care (POC) testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
    • Obtain specimens, accurately perform and record patient POC testing per policy.
    • Under provider and/or RN direction, perform tracking and retrieval of patient lab/diagnostic testing results, facilitating timely provider review and follow-up.
    • Under provider and/or RN direction, perform administrative functions of patient prescription renewal process, adhering to policy and procedure.
    • Provide cross-coverage for other clinical roles, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
    Requirements
    • 1-2 years of experience as a medical assistant.
    • Epic experience is a plus.
    Work Schedule
    • Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
