We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MRI Weekend Support Specialist to join our team at West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MRI services on weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Support: Greet patients upon arrival, facilitate their department experience, and provide support to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Procedure Support: Assist Radiologic Technologists in planning and executing routine imaging procedures, preparing patients for examinations, and escorting patients to and from the procedure room.
- Unit Operations: Maintain a clean and safe environment, promote a team approach to providing Radiology services, and observe and report patient concerns or changes in condition to registered technologists, nurses, or physicians.
- Administrative Support: Verify completeness of written orders, notify ordering physicians of inaccuracies, and assist with routine unit operations as directed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
