POSITION OVERVIEW

The Patient Care Assistant operates under the close guidance of licensed nursing personnel to deliver direct patient support in alignment with established healthcare protocols and standards.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-time

WORK LOCATION: Rochester Regional Health

DEPARTMENT: Medical Surgical Unit

WORK SCHEDULE: 7.5 hours, Day Shift

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Certification as a nurse aide in New York State, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Preferred: Prior experience as a certified nurse aide in New York State
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Delivers and documents comprehensive, patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Ensures exceptional service to patients and their families.
  • Communicates patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to promote positive health outcomes.
  • Maintains a safe and hygienic environment for patients and families.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
M - Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

SALARY RANGE:
$53.11

The stated base pay range reflects a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time candidate. It may be adjusted in the future and is eligible for additional compensation components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
