Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner, and provide clear instructions and guidance throughout the pre-testing process.
  • Data Collection: Accurately document patient data, including chief complaints, medical history, visual acuity, eye movement, and other relevant information.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various ophthalmic equipment, including optical coherence tomography (OCT) and visual fields, to collect accurate test results.
  • Documentation: Efficiently document test results into our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Contact Lens Education: Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
  • Assistance with Exams: Assist optometrists during examinations as needed.
  • Frame and Lens Selection: Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their needs.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of prior optometric technician experience preferred.
  • Skills: Adaptable, flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills.
  • Appearance: Present a professional appearance at all times.
