Supplier Operations Escalation Manager

Wilton, Connecticut, United States ASML US, LLC Full time

ASML US unites innovative minds in science and technology to create lithography machines essential for the production of advanced microchips. Our organization is dedicated to designing, developing, integrating, marketing, and servicing these sophisticated machines, which empower our clients—leading chip manufacturers—to enhance the size and functionality of their microchips, resulting in more compact and powerful consumer electronics.

As a Supplier Operations Escalation Manager, you will oversee inbound supply and serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders. Your role involves coordinating urgent material deliveries from suppliers to the factories and field, aligned with a specific product portfolio that supports a business line.

In this capacity, you will represent the Wilton factory's material planning interests for all internal ASML stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to ensure material availability for the factory and field, address shortages, and drive material escalations.

Additionally, you will act as the operational logistics liaison between the Material Planner and the factory. The Supplier Operations Escalation Manager will collaborate with Logistics Supplier Managers (LSM) and ASML stakeholders to identify structural solutions for material availability issues, train suppliers on updated processes, and implement process improvements to enhance material availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational inbound supply for various demand parties related to a specific factory portfolio.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers, addressing issues, proposing solutions, and identifying bottlenecks.
  • Lead Critical Materials Escalations, conduct CME meetings, and prepare weekly reports for higher management.
  • Oversee Supplier Operations for cross-sector initiatives, ensuring material availability for two business lines and regularly updating key stakeholders on the status and impact of shortages.
  • Prioritize short-term supply allocation for the factory and field while reviewing long-term forecasts to mitigate potential issues.
  • Minimize the impact of shortages across the Business Line.
  • Act as the primary contact for the factory and internal demand parties.
  • Lead OSC/material planning for cross-sector initiatives concerning material availability.
  • Provide critical material availability insights for business planning regarding critical path assessments.

Utilizing your expertise in logistics management, analytical thinking, and professional communication, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing material availability and comprehending MRP logic and dependencies across supply chain processes.
  • Engaging in supplier improvement projects with LSM/QSM and supporting operational enhancement plans with suppliers.
  • Proactively managing a portfolio of parts, including supply investigations, optimizing replenishment strategies, and logistical engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience with planning SAP systems is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain dynamics, and planning systems (e.g., MRP/SAP).
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Experience in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.

Essential Skills

Working at the forefront of technology, you will encounter new challenges and problems to solve collaboratively. You will thrive in a dynamic work environment that values creative and unique perspectives, offering flexibility and trust in tackling tasks and resolving issues.

To excel in this role, you will need the following skills:

  • Ability to observe and respond to people and situations effectively.
  • Capacity to learn and apply new information or skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting data and documents.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent time and priority management skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and lead without formal authority.
  • Flexibility, results-driven approach, and resilience in the face of organizational changes.
  • A sense of urgency and ability to manage tight deadlines.
