Position Title: Legal Administrative Specialist, Team Lead

Company Overview: Amentum is dedicated to providing exceptional support services to the Federal Government, ensuring transparency and accountability within governmental operations.

Role Overview: The Legal Administrative Specialist, Team Lead is responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of Legal Administrative Specialists. This role is crucial in supporting the mission of maintaining governmental transparency through effective administrative management of Freedom of Information and Privacy Act requests, as well as declassification reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members in the legal administrative unit.
  • Ensure compliance with established guidelines and standards within the team.
  • Oversee the accuracy and quality of document reviews.
  • Monitor and report on production and quality assurance metrics.
  • Assist in the evaluation of performance metrics alongside the Program Manager.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires within the unit.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete tasks as assigned or requested by management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current, active Top Secret security clearance, verifiable in JPAS. U.S. Citizenship is required to maintain this clearance.

Experience and Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in providing support services to government programs or acquisition organizations.
  • Experience in processing declassification reviews, FOI/PA requests, or Records and Information Management is preferred but not mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage workflow effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical and administrative documentation.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily sedentary, performed in an open office setting.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The role may involve lifting up to 10 lbs and other physical activities.
