Summary:
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Radiologic Technologist performs CT and X-Ray imaging procedures in accordance with established professional and departmental standards.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Licensure/Certification:

Must hold a valid license from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) and obtain certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) within 90 days of graduation. A temporary work permit from LSRTBE is acceptable; however, permanent licensure and certification must be achieved within the specified timeframe.

Additionally, completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Experience/Skills:

Prior experience in CT imaging is highly preferred. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to crisis situations.

f. Conduct visual inspections of imaging equipment and report issues to the supervisor.

h. Provide clear explanations of examination procedures to patients and their families.
