Summary:
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Radiologic Technologist performs CT and X-Ray imaging procedures in accordance with established professional and departmental standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Licensure/Certification:
Must hold a valid license from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) and obtain certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) within 90 days of graduation. A temporary work permit from LSRTBE is acceptable; however, permanent licensure and certification must be achieved within the specified timeframe.
Additionally, completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Experience/Skills:
Prior experience in CT imaging is highly preferred. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to crisis situations.
