Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
  • Maintain clinical proficiency and documentation accuracy.
  • Utilize SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) for effective communication.
  • Support and embody the facility's Mission, Vision, and Values in all actions.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required by departmental policies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Current certification/licensure as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Texas. EMT-P certification is mandatory. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency or clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Completion of initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility, and department/unit, tailored to the needs of the patient population served.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Emergency Medical Paramedic role, with no travel required.
  • Two years of experience is required.
