Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
- Maintain clinical proficiency and documentation accuracy.
- Utilize SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) for effective communication.
- Support and embody the facility's Mission, Vision, and Values in all actions.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required by departmental policies.
Qualifications Required:
- Education: Current certification/licensure as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Texas. EMT-P certification is mandatory. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency or clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Completion of initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility, and department/unit, tailored to the needs of the patient population served.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Medical Paramedic role, with no travel required.
- Two years of experience is required.

Methodist ER Converse provides comprehensive emergency services to the Converse area with our 24/7 freestanding emergency center. Our facility features private treatment rooms and a wide range of services, including radiology, laboratory services, telemetry, and continuous monitoring for cardiac patients. We also utilize advanced technology for seamless communication of diagnostic images among healthcare providers.
