Extrusion Production Specialist

Position Overview
The Extrusion Production Specialist is responsible for managing the extrusion machinery and associated equipment, including scales, cranes, and mixers.
Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating between day and night.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely maneuvering materials using hoists, slings, cranes, and forklifts within the production area.
- Accurately measuring, mixing, cooling, and extruding materials in accordance with operational guidelines and supervisory directives.
- Collecting necessary materials for the production process.
- Labeling materials correctly as they exit the department to maintain proper inventory control.
- Utilizing various gauges, instruments, and tools to execute work tasks.
- Conducting process and quality control assessments as needed.
- Completing all required documentation accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
- Reporting maintenance issues or emergencies to management promptly.
- Adhering to ISO standards and procedures, participating in audits as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and blueprints. Competence in using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and obtaining forklift certification.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce. High ethical standards and integrity are essential.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt writing style to suit business needs.
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook.
- Business Acumen: Sound judgment in handling confidential information and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 65 pounds occasionally, and effective communication in English. Proficiency in using office equipment and computers is necessary.
Work Environment
Team Members will work in a manufacturing setting, which may involve exposure to moderate noise, airborne particles, and varying temperatures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
