Job SummaryWe are seeking a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional, you will work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges to provide support and assistance with daily living tasks.
Responsibilities- Support Individuals with Daily Living Tasks: Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living tasks to promote independence and well-being.
- Develop Meaningful Relationships: Build relationships with individuals and their families to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to individuals to help them manage challenging behaviors and emotions.
- Assist with Developmental Goals: Support individuals in achieving their developmental goals, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting individuals.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: No experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a patient and compassionate approach to working with individuals.
