Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment, working closely with senior engineers to ensure seamless execution.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, following established procedures and task plans to test equipment and identify solutions.
  • Complete required job documentation, safety training, and procedures for processing parts, ensuring compliance with company and customer guidelines.
  • Represent Applied Materials professionally to customers, embodying a "customer-first" mindset and delivering exceptional service.
  • Satisfy company and customer on-site requirements, adhering to safety, environmental, and COVID-19 guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • An associate degree or completion of military technical training and field experience or technical certification equivalent to an associate degree.
  • 2-4 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry or another equipment support industry.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Clear and effective written/verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documenting details.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to support rotational shifts (e.g., nights and weekends, including holidays when applicable) based on customer needs.
  • Travel for training and alternate customer sites, based on business needs (may include international travel).
  • Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, and reach, climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 35 pounds, distinguish between colors, and work in an environment with noise.
