Ampcus Inc. is a leading provider of technology and business consulting services. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service/Start-Up Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Field Service/Start-Up Engineer will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. This includes troubleshooting equipment problems, maintaining records and reports, and coordinating activities with peers and customers to minimize equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Maintain records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers and customers to minimize equipment downtime
  • Order and install parts as needed
  • Respond to emergency service calls as required
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment and tools through appropriate training and documentation

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study
  • 0+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Excellent customer interface skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and company procedures
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Stable work history
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to follow processes and instructions

Physical Requirements:

Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions.
