Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and installing new equipment on customer sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and identify root causes
  • Install new equipment on customer sites and ensure proper setup and testing
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts as needed
  • Respond to emergency service calls as required
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment and tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
  • Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property, including vehicles and tools
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology preferred; associate's degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; or high school diploma minimum requirement
  • Electrical and mechanical experience or military background in lieu of education will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Military background with relevant experience
  • Excellent customer interface skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and company procedures
Physical Requirements:

Job duties may require working in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with hazardous materials or conditions.

Travel Requirements:
  • Travel varies based on team; 0-100% travel teams available with added financial incentive
