Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Security Officer at Hendrick Medical Center. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, employees, visitors, and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing security services for the hospital, including patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and investigating incidents.
  • Protect hospital assets and property, including equipment, supplies, and confidential information.
  • Adhere to applicable state laws and regulations, as well as Hendrick Medical Center's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including security, administration, and clinical staff, to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct basic investigations and interviews, as needed.
  • Operate security electronic equipment, including CCTV and access control systems.
  • Respond to emergency or crisis situations, using sound judgment and discretion.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in security or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level III Commissioned Security Officer license from the Private Security Bureau (PSB).
  • Ability to pass a written and physical PSB course of instruction.
  • Clear and active Texas driver's license.
  • Maintain a clear police record.
  • Ability to pass prescribed courses in weapon proficiency.
