Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of a juvenile residential facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for youth and staff.
- Facilitate youth rehabilitation through individualized treatment plans, coaching, and mentoring.
- Provide direct care to juveniles, including supervision, guidance, and support.
- Supervise and train junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to youth rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of youth progress, making recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in juvenile justice and youth rehabilitation.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a correctional or juvenile justice setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or coursework preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with youth, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting.
