Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Building Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, machinery, and controls.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinate and inspect work performed by outside contractors, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and critical work packages.
  • Develop and maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Perform specialized tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly/relocation, and locksmith tasks.
  • Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
  • 4-5 years' experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Universal CFC certification preferred, with additional certifications in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
