HPC Infrastructure Specialist

Key Responsibilities

As an HPC Infrastructure Specialist at Tata Consultancy Services, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance computing infrastructure to meet the needs of our clients.

Technical Skills
  • System Architecture: Design and implement scalable and efficient system architectures to support high-performance computing workloads.
  • Understanding of HPC Infrastructure: Have a deep understanding of high-performance computing infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Linux Operating Systems: Have a strong understanding of Linux operating systems and their role in high-performance computing environments.
  • HPC Application Installation and Configuration: Install and configure high-performance computing applications to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • HPC Application Profiling: Profile high-performance computing applications to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize them for better performance.
  • Understanding of HPC Schedulers and Resource Managers: Have a deep understanding of high-performance computing schedulers and resource managers, including SLURM, LSF, and PBS.
  • Message Passing Interface (MPIs): Have a strong understanding of Message Passing Interface (MPIs) and their role in high-performance computing environments.
  • Interconnect: Understand the importance of interconnects in high-performance computing environments and how to optimize them for better performance.
  • HPC File Systems: Have a strong understanding of high-performance computing file systems, including Parallel FS and NFS.
  • Cluster Management: Manage high-performance computing clusters to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Networking: Understand the importance of networking in high-performance computing environments and how to optimize it for better performance.
