Job Summary

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a leading lumber and building materials company, is seeking a highly skilled Installation Manager to oversee the installation functions of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a workforce comprised of employees and sub-contractor labor to ensure timely and quality installations.
  • Visit job sites before, during, and after installations to ensure compliance with quality standards and project timelines.
  • Review and approve installer agreements and invoices to ensure legal compliance and financial stewardship.
  • Plan and coordinate installation operations, establish priorities, and sequences for all installed products.
  • Review reports and resolve problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent installation delays.
  • Develop and implement standard operational and working practices, and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Manage employees and/or sub-contractors during the installation function, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the work produced at site.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train employees; plan, assign, and direct work. Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees. Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Maintain a maximum 24-hour response window for customer issues.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance and cleanliness within the install department.
Requirements
  • Achieve a minimum 90% on-time, on-schedule, complete installation rate.
  • Less than a 2% call-back/correction ratio on installation.
  • Warranty work completed to customer satisfaction within one week of notification.
Qualifications
  • One (1) year certificate from college or technical school or three to four (3-4) years related work experience in installation of various building products, preferably doors, windows, trim, siding, etc.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Prior experience in building supply industry preferred.
