Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing front-of-house support for event production at Spivey Hall, a premier performing arts venue on campus. The Lead House Manager will directly supervise a team of House Managers, overseeing scheduling, duty assignments, and facilities and equipment management. The successful candidate will assist with event production, manage usher and audience services, and represent Clayton State University positively to a wide range of individuals and organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the front-of-house production setup for various events, including concerts, lectures, and award ceremonies.
  • Recruit, schedule, and supervise a team of ushers and House Managers to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage front-of-house equipment, including chairs, music stands, and other necessary items.
  • Provide audience hospitality services, including ADA accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; undergraduate credit hours or degree in a performing arts field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the university positively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and respond effectively in emergency situations.
