Position Overview

The New Birth of Freedom Council has been dedicated to shaping future leaders through educational initiatives and core values since its inception. We believe that investing in youth is essential for fostering a more responsible and productive society.

The Camp Operations Coordinator is tasked with managing the camp's Trading Post and administrative office. This role includes overseeing inventory, handling financial documentation, supervising sales, ordering supplies, and ensuring precise record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Trading Post and camp office operations.
  • Order and monitor supplies for the Trading Post, programs, and maintenance.
  • Ensure accuracy in inventory and financial reports.
  • Prepare and distribute pre-camp orders.
  • Oversee the administrative components of the check-in process.
  • Compile and submit necessary reports.
  • Handle daily bank deposits and maintain petty cash.
  • Work with the program director to establish staff schedules.
  • Monitor the living and working conditions of support staff.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Participate in all meals and camp-wide activities unless otherwise excused.
  • Communicate effectively with unit leaders, Scouts, visitors, and staff.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate camp support staff.
  • Assist in staff training and orientation.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the organization.
  • Understand and implement emergency action plans as necessary.
  • Report any issues that may affect camp operations to the camp director promptly.
  • Exemplify the values of the organization and serve as a role model.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

  • Effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to the organization's leadership and membership standards.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon background checks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must possess physical capability to lift 40 lbs and participate in outdoor activities.
  • Medical clearance from a physician is required.

Compensation

The New Birth of Freedom Council offers a competitive salary starting at $525/week, along with onsite housing and meals.
