Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring that our financial processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
    • Ensure all financial data is entered into accounting software promptly and correctly.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
    • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.
    • Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Handle payroll tax reporting and ensure timely submission of payroll taxes.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
    • Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of audit documentation.
  • Compliance & Taxation:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
    • Maintain organized records for easy retrieval during audits.
  • Other Duties:
    • Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems or processes as needed.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    • Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
