Key Responsibilities- Oversee product receipts and deliveries at the terminal, ensuring precise and definitive measures to protect product quality.
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and properly, and perform quality control checks on the product.
- Operate the truck loading rack and troubleshoot problems when required, and perform tank lineups for outbound shipments and inbound receipts.
- Follow written procedures for various job duties and adhere to all safety procedures at all times, representing company policy to truck drivers, contractors, and third parties working close to company assets.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment, and be responsible for the dig testone call system, monitoring one calls, and dispatching to the location as needed.
- Maintain balance of the terminal (i.e., Barrels in/Barrels out) and Product Accountability of the Terminal, and prove Truck Rack and Pipeline meters to ensure accuracy.
- Generate various reports for daily distribution, and locate underground pipelines and assets using instrumentation.
- A minimum of two years of job-related experience is required.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred Education: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of the pipeline department, working knowledge of DOT safety rules and regulations, and ability to make decisions as to operations and safety standards.
- Intermediate reading and writing skills with the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations, and ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
The Terminal Technician will work in a field-based environment, with exposure to petroleum refinery, out-of-doors, and driver-based environments, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, exposure to the risk of electrical shock, and working in confined spaces.
Physical RequirementsThe job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, perceiving color differences, making precise hand or finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 lbs, climbing up to 60 ft, strenuous physical activity, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, and ability to wear personal protective equipment.
