Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at The Judge Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical and operational support at our North Las Vegas Regional Management Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain system uptime with zero defects
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, customer problem tracking, and network problem resolution
  • Administer systems, monitor networks, and manage new buildouts and existing network changes
  • Identify root causes of technical problems and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of new products into the production environment
  • Monitor system limitations to maximize capacity and efficiency
  • Perform equipment-level capacity planning and network performance activities
  • Maintain equipment inventory and configuration management records
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Data Center Standards and ITIL standards
  • Assume responsibility for escalation and emergency response requests in a 24x7x365 environment
Requirements
  • AA degree, electronics school certification, or equivalent military training and experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a technician in SATCOM/Terrestrial environment with LAN/WAN industry standards
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet configuration, and functionality
  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA, and ITIL) are a plus
  • Ability to work and manage in a 24x7x365 work environment, multi-task while meeting deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Flexible to work varying shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or a mixed) in a high-stress environment
  • Basic electronics troubleshooting skills desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving, customer relations, conflict resolution, and written and oral communication skills
Essential Qualifications
  • Candidate must be able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: o Climb ladders to heights of up to 20 feet. o Work with hands and arms above their head for an extended period of time. o Carry equipment up to 50 pounds. o Be able to work repetitive tasks like installing/deinstalling cables/equipment. o Have the dexterity to terminate various types of cabling (i.e. CAT6/6A, coaxial cable, fiber cable) with precision.
