Job Title: Per Diem Certified Surgical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to join our team at Warm Springs Surgical Center. As a Per Diem Certified Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and sterilize operating rooms, equipment, and instruments prior to surgery.
  • Assist with preparing patients for surgery and provide a great patient experience.
  • Check supplies and equipment prior to each surgery.
  • Set up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, and medications/solutions needed for procedures.
  • Perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed.
  • Gown and glove the surgeon and assistants.
  • Assist in draping the sterile field.
  • Pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
  • Prepare sterile dressings.
  • Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
  • Assist others with terminal cleaning of the room.
  • Assist in prepping the room for the next patient.
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgeries and track surgical supplies.
  • Provide great patient assistance and care.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with a CST or TS-C certification.
  • 2+ years of experience as a CST, preferably in a surgery center.
  • Strong knowledge of CST operations and medical terminology.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as strong analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • SPD experience is a plus.
