Be a Voice for Investors

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to join our team and advocate for the interests of our clients. As a trusted representative, you will work closely with regulators and policymakers to ensure that the voice of investors is heard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and champion Vanguard's public policy positions on high-profile topics affecting asset managers in the U.S. and globally.
  • Engage with key regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Stability Board, and the International Organization of Securities Commissions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate strategies to advocate for public policy goals.
  • Lead conversations with Senior Leadership on the potential impact of regulatory changes on our clients and the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key governmental entities, professional associations, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory structure for mutual funds, including the 40 Act and regulations thereunder.
  • Graduate degree (J.D, M.P.P., MBA).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the financial services industry with working familiarity of public policy issues affecting mutual funds and their shareholders.
  • Deep expertise in nonpartisan, policy analysis and critical thinking.
  • Commitment to high-quality, team-oriented process.
  • Demonstrated track record of providing business-focused solutions that combine excellent judgment, creativity, risk-taking, and technical expertise.
