Quanex Maintenance Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Quanex in Cambridge, OH. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with equipment design and integration to meet manufacturing and processing needs
  • Independently troubleshoot and improve existing manufacturing equipment
  • Manage assigned capital and continuous improvement projects
  • Work with design techniques, tools, and repair/maintenance involved with manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Write work instructions for lock out, tag out (LOTO) and preventative maintenance procedures for new and modified equipment
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components
  • Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals required
