About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Union Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. as a Facilities Specialist. This role will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as performing inspections and due diligence efforts to ensure satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders.
  • Inspections and Due Diligence: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and perform due diligence efforts to ensure satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and repairing doors.
  • Assistance with Operations: Assist the operations team with maintenance and repair of building and equipment, as directed.
  • Material Handling: Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
  • Lighting and HVAC Maintenance: Replace lighting and ballasts, clean HVAC coils, change filters, and belts.
  • Other Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Safety Responsibilities
  • Hazard Assessments: Complete hazard assessments as necessary to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Compliance with Safety Procedures: Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • State, County, or City Ordinances: Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Safety Trainings: Complete all required safety trainings as scheduled.
  • Defensive Driving: Practice defensive driving at all times.
  • Hazardous Materials: Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Work Order Management: Update work order status in real-time.
  • CMMS Systems: Utilize CMMS systems such as MAXIMO for all work performed.
  • Problem Escalation: Escalate problems or issues to customers and management in a timely manner.
  • Meetings and Training: Attend work and safety meetings as required.
Other Responsibilities
  • Other Duties: Perform any and all other duties and tasks assigned by management.
Location

This role will be based on-site in Cambridge, MA.
