Join Our Team as a Lead Special Education/English Learner Teacher

We are seeking an experienced Special Education/English Learner Teacher to join our team at Global Citizens Public Charter School (Global Citizens PCS). As a key member of our instructional leadership team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality educational services to our students. Our ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in effective language acquisition strategies, research-based instructional methods, and culturally sustaining pedagogy.

Responsibilities
  • Implement a Shared School Mission and Vision: Actively participate in data-driven instruction and methods of continuous improvement to ensure we meet the needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with Support Teachers, Lead Teachers, and Other Staff: Ensure proper and consistent implementation of our instructional program.
  • Model Ethical, Equitable, and Professional Behavior: Contribute to a professional school culture focused on developing relational trust with colleagues and building each other's capacity to promote each student's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Develop a Supportive and Positive Learning Environment: Focus on uplifting student voice and using student data to drive student development, growth, and achievement.
  • Compliance and Case Management: Implement and monitor accountability measures to ensure all intensive interventions, specialized instruction services, and related services are implemented with fidelity to ensure compliance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience as a Special Education Teacher and possesses knowledge of early childhood curriculum, instruction, and development, as well as culturally sustaining and anti-bias/anti-racist practices. A salary range of $60K to $80K per year is offered based on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
