This role is designed to provide individualized support to students with special needs in an inclusion classroom setting. As a dedicated aide, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure the success of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Student Learning: Assist students with participating in lessons, daily activities, and assessments, under the direction of the lead teacher and special education teacher.
- Implement School Mission and Vision: Contribute to a shared school mission and vision to promote social, emotional, and academic development among students.
- Maintain Equitable and Inclusive School Culture: Model ethical behavior, act with integrity, fairness, cultural competence, and empathy towards students and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Possess a High School Diploma or higher (Associate's degree preferred)
- At least two years of classroom experience, preferably in a public school or urban setting
- Willingness to take Behavior Technician and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $28K to $38K per year, with a comprehensive benefits package provided by Global Citizens PCS.
