We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Global Citizens Public Charter School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring students' safety, engagement, and academic excellence in our before-care and after-school programming.

This is a part-time position with an estimated hourly rate of $20.00.

About the Role

The Extended Learning Teacher/Early Childhood Education Specialist is responsible for creating a positive, structured learning environment where students are excited and invested in academic achievement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Program Development: Collaborate with the Extended Learning Coordinator to design engaging activities that promote language acquisition, STEM education, and social justice.
  • Student Supervision: Ensure students' safety at all times, monitoring their behavior during classroom activities, recess, and other school-related events.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the Extended Learning Coordinator, sharing attendance records and progress updates as needed.
  • Culture and Community Building: Foster a sense of belonging among students from diverse backgrounds, promoting empathy, emotional resilience, and intercultural connections.
  • Professional Growth: Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
