Job Summary

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst 2 to join our team. As a Tax Analyst 2, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning and tax compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for federal, state, local, and foreign income tax audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns using Corptax tax software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets for planning, compliance, and audit issues, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support research, implementation, and monitoring of tax-planning projects, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide support on corporate income tax issues, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prioritize work assignments with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Develop alternative solutions where guidelines are not available, showcasing creativity and problem-solving abilities.
  • Interpret internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to company standards.
  • Run reports from SAP Tax Depreciation Module, calculate tax depreciation using FAS, and assist with year-end provision using Onesource Provision Software.
  • Make quarterly tax payments and extensions via checks/EFT, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Work with states to resolve tax notices, demonstrating strong communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance a plus.
  • 2 years of tax experience with a CPA firm and/or industry tax department a plus, but not required.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, SAP preferable.
  • Knowledge of tax research software, such as CCH and BNA a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of tax preparation software, Corptax a plus, but not required.
